Pre-Scheduled Rides

 

Our services include door-to-door scheduled rides for medical appointments to doctors offices and hospitals in many of our surrounding counties, as well as in county shopping. We also provide rides for veteran administration facilities (VA Hospitals), and we have ADA accessible vehicles available. Requests for transportation within Jackson County must be received by 2:00 pm the day prior to the date of the trip. Trips outside of Jackson County must be scheduled at least one week in advance. Also be aware that we cannot take reservations from messages left on our answering machine or via email.

 

Medical Trips

 

We offer medical trips within Jackson County, as well as Buncombe County (Asheville) and Henderson County (Hendersonville), on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, between the hours of 9:30 am and 1:30 pm. We also serve Macon County (Franklin), Swain County (Bryson City), and Haywood County (Waynesville & Clyde), on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please remember to schedule your appointments around these days and times. Contact the Jackson County Transit office for fares and more details. If you’re having outpatient surgery you are stronly encouraged to bring a caregiver along, free. Just let the dispatcher know. This person must be an adult and stay with you the entire time, from when you are picked up to when we take you back home. Out of County Trips

 

All out-of-county trips must be scheduled at least one (1) week in advanced of the trip. If appointments are made less than a week in advanced they will be taken on availability only.

 

Be Ready!

 

To help yourself and us with your scheduled door to door transportation please keep in mind that you should be ready and waiting for JCT at least one half hour before your scheduled pick-up time.  Sometimes our drivers are a little ahead of time and can arrive as much as 15 minutes early. We can only wait for you for 5 minutes due to having other riders to pick-up. So be ready and waiting! If you find out you can’t go when your pick-up time has been scheduled, please call our office to let us know. When you don’t cancel, you’re keeping someone else from getting a ride. We appreciate your consideration. Call at the latest an hour before your scheduled pick-up time to cancel. This will save you a No-Show fee. Please note that we do not accept debit or credit cards.

 

No Shows
 

When a passenger is a No-Show once we arrive to pick them up it is considered an unnecessary trip. They will be charged a No-Show fee equal to the cost of a public transportation trip from that area. Our policy is that if a passenger has three (3) No-Shows within a three (3) month period their transportation services will be suspended for a period of one (1) month.
